Beautiful – Sydney Opening

On Saturday, September 23rd Beautiful- The Carole King Musical opened at Sydney’s Lyric Theatre. Audience members felt the earth move as Ether Hannaford (Little Shop of Horrors) who portrays the legendary Carole King placed everything in to sharing the story with you.

Assassins opens in Sydney

Tuesday, September 19th saw Assassins open at the Hayes Theatre in Sydney. Assassins tells the story of the people behind the Assassinations of past Presidents of the USA. We learn the many varied and unusual ways which each of them have committed (or attempted to commit) the perfect crime. What motivated and drove them to this point?

Australia to do the Time Warp again!

This week saw the announcement that The Rocky Horror Show will return to Australia in December 2018. The show starring Craig McLachlan as Frank N Furter will play at Adelaide’s Festival Centre before setting their transit beam for Brisbane and Perth. Me and My Girl

Neglected Musicals will present Me and My Girl at Hayes Theatre with performances beginning on October 25th. The cast includes Bobby Fox, Kirby Burgess, Nathan Carter, Erin James, James Lee, Marney McQueen and Simon Burke. The show is directed by Trevor Ashley.

Good Omens

For one night only Squabbalogic are presenting Good Omens.

According to The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch the world will end this Saturday. Not actually looking forward to the coming Rapture are a fussy angel and a fast-living demon- both of whom have lived amongst Earth’s mortals since The Beginning and have grown rather fond of the lifestyle. They team up to circumvent the end of days but there is only one problem. Someone seems to have misplaced the Anti-Christ.

This one- off public reading offers people an insight into the development of the show. Twisted Broadway – Full Cast announcement

This week saw the announcement of the full cast of Twisted Broadway. Twisted Broadway is a one night only event at Melbourne’s Regent Theatre in support of the Victorian Aids Council and Oz Showbiz Cares/ Equity Fights Aids.

Monday, October 2nd will see many of Australia’s top performers including Paulini, Michael Cormick, John O’Hara, Joel Creasey, Rob Mills, Rhonda Burchmore as well as performers from the casts of The Book of Mormon, Aladdin, The Bodyguard, Mamma Mia! and Kinky Boots.
