Leads announced for Priscilla Queen of the Desert
Friday, September 15th saw the announcement of the three male actors who will lead the Australian cast of Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Portraying Bernadette is Tony and Olivier award nominated performer Tony Sheldon. Sheldon has performed more then 1200 performances as Bernadette in Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, West End, Toronto and Broadway.
Joining Sheldon on stage is veteran Australian performer David Harris as Tick. Harris’ credits in Australia include Miss Saigon, WICKED and Legally Blonde.
Felicia will be portrayed by Euan Doidge who currently appears as an angel in the Australian production of Kinky Boots. Previous shows include Grease and Les Miserables. Doidge recently played Felicia onboard the Norwegian Epic cruise ship.

Cast announced for Show Queen’s 10th Anniversary Special
The 10th Anniversary special of Sydney’s Show Queen will play at Ginger’s at the Oxford Hotel on Sunday, September 24th. Hosted by Trevor Ashley the show includes performances from Erin Clare (High Fidelity, We Will Rock You), Margi de Ferranti (Mamma Mia, Fame), Alex Rathgeber (Wizard of Oz, Anything Goes), Catherine Alcorn (Go Your Own Way, Cathartic), Josh Robson (My Fair Lady, Dream Lover) and Tom Sharah (Muriel’s Wedding, Only Heaven Knows).

StageArt Xposed 2017 announced
The 2017 StageArt Xposed season has been announced.
Beautiful Things which has been described as Zoolander meets The Avengers and runs at Chapel off Chapel from October 16th to 23rd. Lay Down Sally is a satirical look at what it really means to be an Aussie sports star. Lay Down Sally plays at Chapel off Chapel on October 17th and 24th.

Cause Celeb is back bigger and better then ever tonight (September 17th). Hosted by Simon Burke, the evening is a not to be missed event of a stellar lineup of performers showing their support for the Actor’s Benevolent Fund of NSW. Congratulations to Amity Dry and the cast of The (M)other Life who this week held a premiere showcase event on London’s West End. The September 15th performance received a standing ovation.
Congratulations to Nikki Aitken who made her West End debut this week as Bec in The (M)other Life. Aitken currently lives in London and is a seasoned cabaret performer and second year composer with Book Music and Lyrics.
Direct from a successful season as Eliza Doolittle in the Australian production of My Fair Lady, Anna O’Byrne is set to play Laura Fairlie in the West End production of The Woman in White. Laura Fairlie is the niece of Frederick Fairlie, a wealthy hypochondriac land owner. Laura is an heiress and orphan.

Congratulations to Ellie Nunan who played Grizabella this week in the South Korea production of CATS. Ellie had the added pleasure of having her family in the audience to celebrate this occasion with her.
Disney’s Der Glöckner von Notre Dame (The Hunchback of Notre Dame) has released a cast recording of their show and among the artists is Australian performer Sarah Bowden who plays Esmerelda. The CD is in German and can be purchased from http://ada-germany.click/0GZ5z
