Over the weekend actors Ash McKenzie and Matt Holly became engaged while on holiday overseas. We congratulate you both and wish you a long and happy life together.

 

TV WEEK LOGIE AWARDS NOMINATIONS 

This week the nominations for the TV WEEK Logie Awards were announced with many individual nominations for Australian theatre performers. Nominees include Simon Burke (Mary Poppins), Helen Dallimore (WICKED), Virginia Gay (Calamity Jane), Delta Goodrem (CATS), Kat Hoyos (Xanadu), Craig McLachlan (Rocky Horror Show),  Pamela Rabe (Wizard of Oz), Sigrid Thornton (Fiddler on the Roof) and Christie Whelan- Browne (Rocky Horror Show). Congratulations and chookas all !

This Little Girl, Matilda shines this week 

Matilda the Musical, the hit musical about a courageous young girl who dares to change her world, has swept the news this week with award wins, nominations and launches.

Previews for the Brisbane season of the show began on Friday 25th, 2016 at QPAC. If the standing ovation and audience reactions are anything to go by, the season will be a very successful one. Opening night for Brisbane is Thursday, December 1st 2016.

Matilda and Me has been nominated for an award at the TV WEEK Logie Awards for Best Factual Program.

At the ATOM awards, Matilda and Me won two awards Best Documentary – Arts and Best Documentary- Biographical.

Tickets for Australian Tour of Matilda, Adelaide season, go on sale on Monday, while this week saw Tim Minchin at the piano in Perth to launch their season which begins on February 28th, 2017.

This week Ashleigh Rubenach (The Sound of Music) and Stephen Madsen (Heathers, RENT) performed on stage at the Kennedy Centre, New York. This was a first for both of these performers. Congratulations!
