Lucy Durack and Jemma Rix to join Anthony Warlow in Wizard of Oz
Further casting was announced on Sunday, May 21st with Lucy Durack and Jemma Rix, both of Wicked fame, being announced as Glinda the Good Witch and the Wicked Witch of the West respectively. The London Palladium production of The Wizard of Oz will have its Australian Premiere at Brisbane’s Lyric Theatre, QPAC from November 4th, 2017 before moving to Sydney’s Capitol Theatre in Sydney from December 30th, 2017.

Matilda to begin previews in Adelaide tonight
Hit musical Matilda will begin previews tonight in Adelaide which is the final Australian city before the production heads over the ditch to New Zealand. For one night only, the cast of Kinky Boots will be performing a charity concert to raise money for Beyond Blue. Get along to Sydney’s Capitol Theatre on Sunday, June 18th to see the cast celebrate the iconic women of pop rock. Tickets are on sale Monday, May 22nd from Ticketmaster.
Ruva Ngwenya- The Voice
Ruva Ngwenya (We Will Rock You, The Lion King) wowed the judges and audience alike with her rendition of ‘Hello’ by Adele during the blind audition round of The Voice. After turning all four chairs, Ngwenya chose Team Kelly. Congratulations and Chookas for your upcoming battle rounds!
Catherine Alcorn announces her pregnancy
Seasoned cabaret performer Catherine Alcorn (Cathartic, The Divine Miss Bette) made the Mother’s Day announcement that her partner Cam and her will be expanding their tour party by one with Alcorn due to give birth in August. Congratulations Catherine and Cam!

With King Kong set to arrive on Broadway in the fall of 2018, Melbourne born Eddie Perfect has been chosen to write the lyrics. Perfect’s previous experience with musicals includes Shane Warne The Musical, Strictly Ballroom and the Broadway bound Beetlejuice.
