Come From Away announces remaining cast members
This week saw the announcement of the the remaining cast members for the highly anticipated musical Come From Away ‘s Australian season. Joining the previously announced performers are London based Australian Doug Hansell (Titanic, Beauty and the Beast) as Kevin T, Sharriese Hamilton (Sister Act, Jesus Christ Superstar) as Hannah and Kolby Kindle (Waitress, Book of Mormon) as Bob.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to set up shop in Melbourne
Melbourne, get ready to be transported into a world of Pure Imagination as Charlie and The Chocolate Factory travels by Great Glass Elevator to Melbourne’s Her Majesty’s Theatre where they will set up shop from August 9th, 2019.

Sydney Cabaret Festival
Launched on Wednesday, March 13th, Sydney’s newest international festival will feature over 40 events across 10 glorious days. The very best modern cabaret artists from Australia and around the globe will come together from July 5th to 14th, 2019.
Artistic Director Trevor Ashley spoke this week saying “I have long dreamed that we could bring cabaret home to Sydney so I am immensely proud to present the inaugural Sydney Cabaret Festival, which in its first outing brings together some of my favourite artists from around Australia and the globe.”

Steve Danielsen sings Anthem at Adelaide Cup
Congratulations to Steve Danielsen (Book of Mormon, WICKED) has had a whirlwind few weeks travelling from Brisbane where The Book of Mormon is currently showing to perform the Australian anthem at Adelaide’s Adelaide Cup on Monday, March 11th.

Hugh Jackman to Lead the Band in The Music Man
Get ready for 76 trombones and one Aussie Star as the original Boy from Oz, Hugh Jackman prepares to portray “Professor” Harold Hill, the charismatic con man in the Broadway revival of The Music Man.
The new staging of Meredith Willson’s beloved classic will begin performances on September 9, 2020, and officially open on October 22, 2020, at a Shubert theatre to be announced later.
