SHOW ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Muf- TEE Show

New Zealand born adopted Aussie, Hayden Tee (Les Miserables, Matilda) is looking for donors to make his cabaret show dreams come true. Tee has returned to NZ to weather the Covid 19 pandemic and to make himself at home (and make good use of his time) he created a Musical variety talk show. The Casual Cabaret, Campy songs, an agony aunt section called TEEmail, a game show called TEEzers will help bring joy back into isolated lives.

The Muf-TEE show is a satirical and self aware parody of a late night talk show/musical variety show. What Ru Paul’s Drag Race is to reality television such as America’s Next Top Mode, the Muf- TEE show is to the entire talk show/musical variety show genre.

Information on how to donate can be found at https://boosted.org.nz/projects/the-muf-tee-show

Hope InitiativeThe Water Code

Written by performer and composer Vicki LarnachThe Water Code tells the story of Vikka Day, a young woman on a writing retreat. As Vikka tries to meet a deadline for her second book, She has no idea what she’ll write, but does know how she’ll find inspiration. She visualises an alternate self who’s already written the story, this other self helps her write a sweeping saga about a family of early colonists in Australia and the indigenous people whose land they live on.

Set to a visionary musical soundscape The Water Code aims to transport you to the story teller’s alternate world. Through the music I tried to capture the awe and beauty of nature, the magic of the supernatural and the uneasiness of treachery.

Performed by Rowan Witt (The Book of Mormon, She Loves Me) as Dale/ Daniel, Sarah Wadsley (A Chorus Line, Cats) as Vikka/ Lalla, Brittanie Shipway (Big Fish, Ordinary Days) as Tilly/Gladdy,
Lincoln Elliott (3 Weeks in Spring, Ordinary Days) as Sunny/ Jiemba, Jenni Little (School of Rock, Kinky Boots) as Prudence/Greta, Adele Parkinson (Les Miserables, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert) as Irene/various, David Whitney (West Side Story, My Fair Lady) as Edgar/Thomas, Nat Jobe (Shrek, Aladdin) as Miles/Yarran and Cameron Daddo (The Sound of Music) as Edgar/ Thomas.
