The Adelaide Cabaret Festival opened on Friday, June 9th at the Adelaide Festival Centre and will run until June 24th. Organisers have gathered acts present entirely different world views to our own, performers that challenge our perception of physicality, gender and aesthetics, new original writing and some of the finest songbook interpreters in the world.

Full Cast Announcement: Paris- A Rock Odyssey
The full cast for Paris- A Rock Odyssey has been announced ahead of Music Theatre Melbourne’s debut performance this coming July. Telling the story of Paris, Prince of Troy and Helen, the Greek Queen. One of the world’s greatest love stories inspired this unforgettable rock musical by the great, late Jon English.
Starring John Waters (Ulysses), Ben Mingay (Achilles), Tim Freedman (Agamemnon), Matthew Manahan (Paris), Madeleine Featherby (Helen), Brian Mannix (Sinon), Scott Johnson

David Harris has been nominated in the Outstanding Actor in a Musical category for his role in Next to Normal in the 2017 Connecticut Critics Circle Awards. Next to Normal has been nominated for a total of 10 awards which will be presented on Monday, June 26th at Sacred Heart University’s Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts in Fairfield, Connecticut.
Simon Gleeson has taken his final performance as Jean Valjean in Les Miserables, after an extraordinary three years playing the role. Congratulations Simon!
Monica Swayne made her West End debut this weekend in the cast of Disney’s Aladdin. Congratulations Monica!
Monday night saw Sarah Bowden perform in the Public Theater’s Annual Gala in Central Park, New York. The evening celebrated 50 years of revolutionary musicals from The Public Theater. Congratulations on the great honour Sarah!
