Four boys announced to play Billy Elliot in National Tour

Last week saw the long awaited announcement of the four boys who will share the role of Billy Elliot in the upcoming Australian National Tour. After a long and arduous audition process spanning every state and territory, the producers are proud to announce that sharing the celebrated lead role are Omar Abiad (12, from Brisbane), River Mardesic (10, from Melbourne), Wade Neilsen (12, from Newcastle) and Jamie Rogers (12, from Canberra).

After months of intensive rehearsals, the boys will alternate in the role of Billy in the 10th Anniversary Australian tour of Billy Elliot the MusicalAll four boys are making their professional debut playing this most extraordinary and inspiring role.

The tour will premiere at Sydney Lyric Theatre from October 10 2019, followed by seasons at the Festival Theatre, Adelaide Festival Centre from December 2019, Melbourne at the Regent Theatre from February 2020, Crown Theatre Perth from June 2020 and QPAC’s Lyric Theatre in Brisbane from July 2020.

Cast Announcement: Natalie O’ Donnell joins the cast of Any Moment

Joining the cast of Any Moment: A New Musical at the Melbourne Cabaret Festival on June 25th and 26th is Australian musical theatre stalwart Natalie O’Donnell.

Natalie O’Donnell most recently delighted audiences as Donna in Mamma Mia! for which she received a Helpmann Award nomination. She has carved out an extensive career in London and Australia on stage and screen.
