Gypsy Cloak

The Gypsy Cloak is a theatre tradition where the most experienced ensemble member from one show passes it to the most experienced ensemble member of the next show.

The wardrobe department will then place a patch on the cloak to represent their show and a ceremony is held to acknowledge the handover of the cloak between the two shows.

Today saw the cloak passed on from the company of Aladdin to Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.
