Kinky Boots
The Australian cast of Kinky Boots was announced on April 30th. The show begins with previews on Wednesday, October 12th at Her Majesty’s Theatre in Melbourne. Tickets are on sale now through www.ticketek.com.au .

Matilda 300th Show
On May 1st, the Australian company of Matilda which is currently in Melbourne performed its 300th show. The show moves to Brisbane later this year.

Dogfight opened this week at Chapel off Chapel, Melbourne . The show runs through to Sunday, May 15th.

Little Shop of Horrors opened this week at The Comedy Theatre, Melbourne. The show runs through to Sunday, May 22nd.

In Rehearsal

Heathers will open on May 11th at The Arts Centre, Melbourne.
Singin’ in the Rain will open on May 7th at Her Majesty’s Theatre, Melbourne
Xanadu will open on May 12th at Hayes Theatre, Sydney.
Sound of Music will open on May 13th at The Regent Theatre, Melbourne

AUSTRALIAN PERFORMER SPECIAL MENTIONS

The Australian cast and crew of the Les Miserables, Manila cast took their final bows on May 1st. From all reports it was a very successful performance season. The Australian performers will be joined in Singapore by Patrice Tipoki when Les Miserables begins in Singapore on May 31st.

Maryann Wright
Australian theatre and TV actor, Maryann Wright appeared on this season of Channel 9’s the voice on Monday, May 2nd. Also her EP ‘Something’s Bound to Begin’ is now available to listen to on Soundcloud.

AUSSIE’S ABROAD

Nick Afoa who played Adult Simba in the Australian production of The Lion King will reprise the role on The West End beginning May 2016.
