Friday, May 26th saw hit musical Matilda open at the Adelaide Festival Centre to a standing ovation. Adelaide is the last Australian city before the maggots cross the ditch for the NZ leg of the show. Congratulations to the company on a great Australian tour!

The Hayes Theatre, Sydney hosted the first preview of Only Heaven Knows on Friday, May 26th. From all reports there was much laughter, tears and enjoyment to be had. 21 Chump Street / Ordinary Days rehearsals

Rehearsals are in full swing ahead of the 21 Chump Street and Ordinary Days seasons which begin at Chapel off Chapel on June 8th.

21 Chump Street is a 14 minute musical written by Lin- Manuel Miranda (Hamilton) about the issues facing teens such as peer pressure and conformity where as Ordinary Days tells the story of four individuals in New York City and how their lives intersect in a city of millions. Ordinary Days runs for 90 minutes.

Hello, Dolly ! opens in Melbourne

Wizard of Oz Australia launches in Brisbane

Wednesday, May 24th saw the Australian production of The Wizard of Oz hold its launch at the QLD Performing Arts Centre in Brisbane ahead of the show’s opening there in November. The show will then follow the yellow brick road all the way to the Capitol Theatre when the show opens in Sydney in December 2017.
