Fundraising concert with a difference, Twisted Broadway is back for 2012. And this year the event will expand, making its debut in Sydney as well returning to Melbourne.
Hostess Melissa Bergland (TV’s Winners and Losers) will be joined by co-host Rob Mills in Sydney and Rhonda Burchmore in Melbourne.
Based on the idea of Broadway fixture Broadway Backwards, the star-studded concerts will see music theatre stars perform songs originally written for the opposite sex.
The Sydney premiere will take place at NIDA's Parade Theatre, Kensington on Monday 2 July, 2012. The Sydney cast will include An Officer and a Gentleman star Josh Piterman alongside Ian Stenlake, John O'May, Michael Falzon, Shaun Rennie, Queenie van de Zandt and Hi5's Tim Maddren
The Melbourne performance is to be held at Federation Square’s BMW Edge on Monday 23 July 2012. The Melbourne cast will feature Amy Lehpamer, Matthew Robinson, Tim Campbell, Julie Goodwin, Jaz Flowers, Robyn Arthur, Matt Holly, Paul Watson and Nicholas Kong.
Twisted Broadway proudly supports Oz Showbiz Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, and all proceeds raised will be donated to help those affected by and living with HIV/AIDS.
