My dearest Adelaide,

My show Guys and Dolls opens this weekend at the West Gippsland Arts Centre, and you know how busy production week can be so I am going to have to postpone our wedding date for a short while.

I know that you and your mother wanted the wedding sooner rather than later but I have made a promise, and a promise is a promise, and as I much as I would like to marry you this weekend you and your mother will just have to wait.

Yours truly,

Nathan

Hello Nathan,

I know! I’m so exicted to see you on stage! And I do understand that you have promised to perform. Can’t we get married just before the show?

I commend you on wanting to keep promises but what about the promise you made to me? We said that we would get married in May as it was my mother’s wish and you also made a promise to us.

Don’t you want to marry me anymore???

Adelaide.

Adelaide,

Of course I want to marry you! “I’ve Never Been in Love Before” as much as I am in love with you! It’s just that I made the promise to perform in Guys and Dolls before we became engaged…

I do understand it was your mother’s wish to be married in May, but the show is on from May 13 to 28!

I promise that I will marry you straight after the show has finished and the Musical Director David Williams has said that he and his orchestra will perform out our wedding. How awesome will that be?!

How about we get married in June, that way it’s only another month and all our guests that are performing in Guys and Dolls like Nicely Nicely Johnson (Nathan McLean) and Sky Masterson (Josiah Brooks) will be able to attend the wedding too?

I hope that your mother will be happy with this. I think it’s a good compromise.

Yours truly,

Nathan

Nathan,

I’m so glad to know that you still love me! And I didn’t realise that the show was so close! Our friends and family haven’t even booked tickets yet! So we should tell them all to get a move on.

I will only allow the wedding to be postponed if you agree for the cars to be changed to pink Lincoln Town Cars.

Mother has informed me she is happy only if you let me have EXACTLY what I want and you know how pink is my favourite colour. But she still wants me to “Marry the Man Today” so let’s not wait too long!

Love,

Adelaide x

Adelaide,

As much as you know I dislike pink — especially on cars — I’ll do it because I love you. 🙂

If people haven’t got tickets yet they’d better hurry before they sell out! Can you email all of your friends and family to come and support the show and I’ll do the same with mine?

They can book tickets by either calling 5624 2456 or booking online at www.wgac.org.au.

Remember to tell them about the awesome choreography!

Love,

Nathan.

My lovely Nathan,

Weeeeeeee! SO excited about my pink cars! You have just made this girl extremely happy. 🙂

So our wedding will now be in June and no later.

Now you’d better go and make sure you know all your lines. I will email all of our friends and family. AND I’ll even share it on the Facebook page so all of our online friends can come and see the show as well. I’m so excited for the show! Can’t wait until opening night!

Now I must go as I have to get my hair done and choose my outfit for the opening night celebrations!!!

Much Love,

Adelaide x
