Lord Mayor of Melbourne Robert Doyle at Malthouse Theatre

Julie Andrews didn’t know what the hell she was singing about with all that talk of “raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens”. The true pleasures of life reside in the realm of the imagination, that uncharted place where the wild things are.
As part of Malthouse Theatre’s Things on Sunday, The Right Hon the Lord Mayor of Melbourne, Robert Doyle takes us on a trek through his own dreamings, and the things that inspire him – from a childhood memory, to a favourite film, to the moment in a song when he always finds himself with tears in his eyes. series
All this and more, perhaps even a poem read aloud, in a session of show and tell from the man with the Keys to the City. This time it’s about the keys to our Lord Mayor’s heart, mind and soul.
This unique exploration of the passions of Melbourne’s Mayor is in the Merlyn Theatre, CUB Malthouse on 13 June, 2.30pm.
