Red Line’s DISRUPTION season continues with Sarah DeLappe’s The Wolves. The play, a 2017 Pulitzer finalist,  arrives at Red Line as the Australian Premiere, helmed by acclaimed director Jessica Arthur (Lethal Indifference, STC Associate Director.)

“This was the breakout play for Sarah DeLappe, it has a long life ahead of it as it is something very special, something very now, and something very rare,” said Artistic Director Andrew Henry, “it is a privilege to give Sarah Delappe an audience in Australia for the first time. This play has some VERY real things to say about young women growing up, additionally it fuses beautifully with the physical athleticism of sport. I think our audience are going to be bowled over by it. We have also assembled a knock out creative team for this one, Maya Keyes (designer,) Clemence Williams (sound designer,) Veronique Benett (lighting designer,) will all transform the Fitz into the indoor soccer field that houses our Wolves.”

About The Wolves

Left quad. Right quad. Lunge. A female indoor soccer team warms up. From the safety of their suburban stretch circle, the team navigates big questions and wages tiny battles with all the vim and vigour of a pack of adolescent warriors. A portrait of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for nine young women who just want to score some goals.
