StageArt Executive Producers, Katherine Armstrong and Robbie Carmellotti have announced their highly anticipated 2015 season, featuring two Tony Award and Grammy Award winning musicals, both of which will be an Australian premiere, and an a new Australian made musical cabaret.


The StageArt season will open with In The Heights – winner of the 2008 Tony Award for Best Musical. This will be followed by the Tony, Grammy and Oscar Award winning hit musical Dreamgirls. The season will conclude with an Australian-made cabaret tribute to the hit television series in A Super Brady Cabaret.


In the ultimate value for money offer, audiences can purchase a season pass  ticket for all three shows, which works out to be an A reserve seat for less than $40 per show. It's an even better deal for the under 25 year olds and concession holders who can purchase a season pass for just $88 – less than $30 per show.

Audiences can purchase a pass to see each of StageArt’s 2015 shows in either A Reserve, B Reserve or at a concession/U25 rate.

DREAM GIRLS – Rejoice as the soulful story of The Dreams comes direct to Melbourne

Written to depict a fictional version of the rise and success of Dianna Ross and The Supremes, DREAMGIRLS delves deep into the underworld of the 1960’s music industry where money was abundant, fame was addictive, and the consequences were dire.

The two-time Grammy Award-Winning soundtrack includes the hits, ‘And I’m Telling You’, ‘One Night Only’, ‘Listen’, and the title song, ‘Dreamgirls’. Written by Tony Award-Winning writers, Tom Eyen and Henry Krieger, Dreamgirls is a Broadway classic, packed full of show-stopping hits and beautiful harmonies, all amongst a soulful story.

SUPER BRADY CABARET – Here's the story…
Yes – this group that somehow formed a family, America’s most wholesome household are about to spill their groovy goodness in this Australian premiere. The world continues to keep on movin', but not for Mike, Carol, Greg, Marcia, Jan, Peter, Bobby and Cindy as they take you on a jukebox journey into the life of a Brady.

This interactive cabaret tribute to The Brady Bunch is a laugh a minute, featuring songs by Doris Day, The Carpenters, The Supremes, The Monkees and many more.

StageArt welcomes back Melbourne-based performer and writer Drew Downing as Director/Musical Director. Downing previously collaborated with StageArt on GREASE 2: LIVE IN CONCERT; responsible for the original arrangements, orchestrations and stage adaptation. Downing teams up once again with StageArt's Robbie Carmellotti to bring you this totally far out fun fest.
