The Sunday Telegraph today has revealed Rob Mills will star in the lead role of Sam in the upcoming Australian premiere of Ghost The Musical. The role was made famous in the original movie by Patrick Swayze.

In an interview with The Sunday Telegraph’s Jo Litson, Mills talked about his love of musical theatre and what attracted him to this role.

“What drew me to (Ghost) is that the songs (by Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics and Glen Ballard) are great. It’s a rock-pop musical and that’s my bag. I love that stuff,” Mills said.

“Friends who have seen it say there are incredible effects. Because I’m a ghost for almost the whole show you have to make it look pretty speccy.”

“It is a thriving industry and to be part of that is the best. I think it’s a great form of storytelling and a great night out. I hope more people get to go out and enjoy it,” he said.
