The long anticipated FRINGE WORLD Festival 2014 Program officially launched today with a whopping 450 shows across 60 venues!

Olympic gold medallist Matthew Mitcham, in Twists and Turns World Premiere 1 to 8 Feb, at 6pm De Parel Spiegeltent.

Matthew Mitcham OAM, won gold with the highest single-dive score in Olympic history. Revealed in his recent autobiography, life behind the spotlight was plagued by mental illness and drug abuse, overcome to achieve greatness. Away from diving, Matthew is a talented singer and musician who shares the highs and lows of his incredible young life through theatre and song in the world premiere of his first solo show.

Return of 2013 award winner of the Vinaceous Overall Best Cabaret Award, Spanky in Candice McQueen: Nasty! Encore season 4 to 9 Feb at 10pm, De Parel Spiegeltent.
The immortal demi-goddess Candice McQueen is a Mr Sister who has partied her way around the world for thousands of years. The show is a comedy-cabaret about Candice falling in love with a fallen 90s screen idol and the journey to save both their lives weaving 90s pop culture, songs of the 90s and fashion. A cabaret reworking of Orpheus meets Clueless. “The ‘Mr Sister’ has eternally strong stage presence, great comedic timing and an ability to draw you in to her bizarre world” Theatre Press

Join multi-award winning magician Stuart Lightbody in the Ovation Award winning show “Illusive”; directed by Tara Notcutt and touring all the way from South Africa.
