We are looking for people with an interest in theatre, and in supporting the theatre community by producing quality coverage of events from an informed perspective. The kind of things you might be asked to write include:
Reviews of new productions: an essential part of the theatre landscape!
Features about upcoming productions: peek behind the curtain and shine a light on the unique clockwork that makes the theatre industry tick.
Interviews with prominent theatre practitioners: frame the discussion to gain and share insight on people and the work they do.
Cover media events: see the stars at media calls, award ceremonies, red-carpet openings, and cover them for TheatrePeople.com.au!
TheatrePeople is a not-for-profit community organisation, and all writing positions are on a voluntary basis. The required output can be negotiated to suit your availability, whether you want to do an article a week, or only once a month, we will work with you make sure that writing for TheatrePeople.com.au doesn't become a burden. All we ask is that once you accept a writing task, you complete it within a specified time frame.
