Matthew Lee Robinson Presents New Voices

Helpmann-nominated composer/lyricist Matthew Lee Robinson returns to Australia for exclusive workshop series

Matthew Lee Robinson, Helpmann Award nominee and UTAS Stephen Schwartz Songwriting Award winner, will briefly return from New York City to lead Australia’s only musical theatre workshop and showcase series in which participants work on material with the composer who created it.

New Voices will come to Sydney from 1st -4th July and Melbourne from 8th -11th July.

In both cities, each selected participant will personally be assigned a song from Robinson’s catalogue of award-winning musicals which have been developed in New York City readings for Stephen Schwartz and members of Disney Theatrical Productions.

Participants will then receive a private coaching session, participate in a two-day group workshop and feature in an exclusive showcase concert. New Voices has previously sold out in Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane, so early applications are a must.

Robinson’s music was most recently heard in New York City at the concert G’Day Broadway featuring a cast of Broadway alumni including Tony Award nominee Tony Sheldon, Adam Kantor (Rent), Emily Padgett (Sideshow), Donna Vivino (Wicked) and GLEE‘s Billy Lewis Jr.
