A new monthly cabaret night launches at Cake Wines Cellar Door this Sunday

Danielle Asciak and Cake Wines launch a monthly cabaret night at Cake Wines Cellar Door, Redfern Sunday 2 April 5pm. The night is curated with artists from the Australian cabaret, burlesque, comedy and music theatre industries including William Hannagan-Mackinna (Artist in Residence at Hayes Theatre) and trans-gender torch singer Mama Alto, who is currently in Sydney for her role in Declan Greene’s The Homosexuals for Malthouse and Griffin Theatre Companies.

With 5 star ratings from Adelaide Theatreguide, a nomination for the Vinaceous Cabaret Award Fringe World and International Artist in Residence under her belt, Asciak is one of this year’s most anticipated vintage cabaret acts having thrilled audiences across Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Berlin, Paris, Tokyo, Seoul and Malta.

Mama Alto is a gender transcendent diva, cabaret artist, jazz singer and community activist.
