2012 sees the launch of exciting new independent theatre company, Monster
Media, with a season of cabaret and musical theatre.
The brainchild of arts practitioners, Noah Sharwood and Kristopher Brown, the company aims to
produce high-quality, cutting-edge theatre from Australia and around the world. Monster Media are committed to producing top-quality innovative and creative entertainment that stretches the audience’s imagination and allows
their audiences to experience original stories, diverse lives and amazing places.
The company’s first production is a quirky adults-only look at the highs and lows of relationships in a Valentine’s Day cabaret, I Love Lilly, starring the lovably irreverent puppet Miss Lilly Monster and her long-time best friend and secret crush Kristopher Brown. I Love Lilly will take to the intimate new cabaret space Downstairs at Alma's at the Alma Sports Club for two shows only on the 13th and 14th February, 2012.
This will be followed by the Australian premiere of the off-Broadway smash-hit musical The Marvelous Wonderettes. Auditions will take place early in 2012 to find 4 amazing singer-actresses to take on the insurmountable blockbuster hits of the 1950s and 1960s for 9 shows only at fortyfivedownstairs from the 23rd
August through to the 1st September, 2012. More shows will be announced in the coming months.
Artistic Director Noah Sharwood has been working in the industry for over 10 years as a stage manager, educator, director, host, puppeteer, voiceover artist and associate producer.
