This school holidays, Monkey Baa Theatre Company invites families to embark on magical and improvised adventures when it presents The Little Prince and Random Musical, at the Lendlease Darling Quarter Theatre.
Young imaginations will take flight with Spare Parts Puppet Theatre’s acclaimed production of The Little Prince, adapted by Simon Clarke from the beloved children’s classic by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
This delightful production of one of the most widely-read books in history features exquisite hand-carved puppets that tell the story of a curious prince who journeys across the universe. With its timeless message about the importance of friendship, The Little Prince is an adventure story that celebrates the richness of human feeling and imagination.
Cre8ion will also bring their wildly spontaneous and totally improvised show Random Musical to the Monkey Baa stage. Audience members write down their name and favourite word, and a title for a brand new musical is conjured up. Random words inspire every twist and turn of the show, propelling the characters into uncharted storytelling and song.
Anything is possible with Random Musical, from fairytales to mythical beats, from spies to rock’em and sock’em action, and the audience may just find themselves playing characters, creatures, sound effects or objects!
Audiences both young and old will adore the magical world of The Little Prince and the spontaneous fun of Random Musical, igniting imaginations at Monkey Baa this school holidays.
