Melbourne International Arts Festival opens this week, taking over the city’s stages and art spaces with an eclectic array of dance, music, theatre and visual arts.

Mirror on Melbourne will take over the Famous Spielgetent by night, becoming the Festival Club with a free program of diverse and dynamic music and entertainment for festival-goers, allowing audience members to rub shoulders with artists post-show.

Glorious cocktails and post-performance snacks will be on offer along with wines by Noisy Ritual, beers by Stomping Ground, tequila by Código 1530 and spirits provided by Archie Rose.

From Monday to Saturday, Mirror on Melbourne will shine a light on live acts spanning jazz, hip-hop, boogie bands through to DJs performing experimental music, adding extra excitement to the festival offering. Mirror on Melbourne’s Sunday Sessions will celebrate the city’s distinct musical talents crossing over from neo-soul to funk, world music to experimental soundscapes.
