Matthew Lee Robinson Presents New Voices

Helpmann-nominated composer/lyricist Matthew Lee Robinson returns to Australia for a limited time to present exclusive workshop and showcase series

Matthew Lee Robinson, Helpmann Award nominee and UTAS Stephen Schwartz Songwriting Award winner, will briefly return from New York City to lead Australia’s only musical theatre workshop and showcase series in which participants work on material with the composer who created it.

New Voices will come to Adelaide from 28th April and Melbourne from 4th June.

In both cities, each selected participant will personally be assigned a song from Robinson’s catalogue of award-winning musicals, including the World Premiere of new songs recently developed in New York City under the direction of Tony-winning Newsies creative Christopher Gattelli.

Participants will then receive a private coaching session, participate in a two-day group workshop and feature in an exclusive showcase concert.

New Voices has previously sold out in Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane and twice in Melbourne, so early applications are a must.

An early application discount applies for successful Adelaide and Melbourne applicants who submit by Tuesday 5th April, with final applications closing 12th April in Adelaide and 19th April in Melbourne.

Robinson’s music has most recently been heard in concert across the United States at the Junior Theater Festival in Atlanta, the Junior Thespian Festival in Dallas and the Lincoln Center Broadway’s Future Songbook Series in New York City.
