Performed in an elegant cabaret setting at Melbourne’s iconic Chapel Off Chapel, Piterman and Fitzpatrick will be accompanied by pianist Cameron Thomas, who along with Co-Directors Robbie Carmellotti and James Cutler, have woven these songs into each other beautifully to highlight the magic that is Brown’s music.
Piterman is best recognised in Australia for playing the lead role of Tony in the recent national tour of West Side Story, however he has recently returned from the UK where he played the role of Corny Collins in Hairspray on the West End and as part of a national tour. Piterman also starred in An Officer and A Gentleman, Kismet, Children Of Eden, Grease 2 :Live in Concert and toured with the Ten Tenors.
Leading lady, Laura Fitzpatrick, has been a Jason Robert Brown fan for most of her performing life, having starred in both The Last 5 Years and Songs For A New World in their early Melbourne seasons. Fitzpatrick took Melbourne by storm in 2013 as she played the lead role in The Mammas and Pappas musical, Flowerchildren, which ran at The Comedy Theatre to rave reviews.
