Kerrie Anne Greenland began her career in music theatre in 2014, following the acclaimed Australian production of Les Miserables in the role of Eponine. Receiving rave reviews and awarded the prestigious Helpmann for her portrayal of the beloved character, which she continued with through the Asia tour. It holds a special place in the hearts of anyone who sees or works in it, and I was lucky enough to work with so many phenomenal people. It’s a show that connects people!
In association with James Terry and Theatre People, Kerrie Anne takes the stage at the upcoming Industry Night March 26. It’s a real celebration of musicals, and Aussie talent…not just performances by the leads of musical theatre, but also showcases the incredible voices from the ensembles. Kerrie Anne will perform a favourite number from Anastasia, amongst other songs by 20 other performers from the Australian Musical Theatre Industry.
Other recent adventures for the musical theatre star include the role of Violet Hilton (one of the famous Siamese Twins) in SideShow at the Hayes Theatre Sydney. Most excitingly, Kerrie Anne will make a return in her new solo-show ‘Pictures: Songs from Movie Musicals’ on from June 1, Chapel off Chapel in Melbourne. It’s an extension of my Album that was released in 2016 of the same title, and is a journey through the history of movie musicals…much like flipping through an old photo album live on stage. Pictures is an exciting challenge and I am so beyond thrilled to do this show!
Tickets will soon be released for Pictures via www.chapeloffchapel.com.au.
