The international blockbuster musical JERSEY BOYS will open its Australian tour in September 2018 at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre. This premiere season has been secured for Sydney by the NSW Government through its tourism and major events agency Destination NSW.

NSW Minister for Tourism and Major Events Adam Marshall said the enduring story and songs of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons continue to resonate with audiences worldwide while finding new legions of fans through the acclaimed musical JERSEY BOYS.

The 2010 Sydney season of JERSEY BOYS played for 15 months, making it one of the longest running musicals in Sydney history, attracting audiences both domestically and internationally.

JERSEY BOYS tells the true-life story and the rise to stardom of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons who were one of the most successful bands in pop music history. The band sold over 175 million records and were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for their worldwide hits including ‘Can’t Take My Eyes off You’, ‘Walk Like a Man’, ‘Bye Bye Baby’, ‘Sherry’ and ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’, which all feature in the musical.

JERSEY BOYS opened on Broadway in November 2005 and closed in January 2017 after 11 acclaimed years. The West End production closed in March this year after nine years in London. Winner of 64 honours and audience awards worldwide JERSEY BOYS has played to over 23 million people and grossed in excess of US$2 billion worldwide.
Jersey Boys will open at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre in September 2018 for a strictly limited season.
