FOUR CHARITIES, FOUR SEASONS, ONE NIGHT ONLY
THE REGENT THEATRE ON FRIDAY 1 MARCH AT 8PM
The international blockbuster musical JERSEY BOYS will hold a very special one night performance dedicated to four important charities raising funds for four great causes, each supported personally by one of our Four Seasons.
With the aim of raising awareness of the important work and contribution to our community, the JERSEY BOYS company will donate $50.00 from the sale of every ticket sold at this performance to be distributed equally across:
Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation supported by RYAN GONZALEZ – our Frankie Valli, perpetuates the memory of members from the Victorian Police who have died in the line of duty through the support of worthwhile community projects within Victoria. Their aim is to encourage the Victorian public to remember the sacrifice of officers who have fallen in the line of duty and show all serving members of Victoria Police that their work and commitment is valued by the community. These are achieved through a wide range of projects and activities that not only promote awareness but also raises funds for important projects that benefit all Victorians. The foundation, which celebrates its 30th Anniversary this year, provides funding for new and improved emergency facilities in public hospitals named in memory of fallen officers. They have funded 53 hospital projects and have eight new projects to complete in various parts of Victoria over the next 12 months. It’s a program that remembers lives by saving others.
Entertainment Assist supported by THOMAS McGUANE – our Bob Guadio, is a national health promotion charity that raises awareness about mental health and wellbeing in the Australian entertainment industry. They are committed to reducing the high rates of anxiety, depression, suicide, isolation and other matters often affecting performers, support workers, crew and technicians. By encouraging open conversations in workplaces from concert halls to rehearsal studios and construction workshops, Entertainment Assist supports a resilient industry culture through peer-to peer advocacy, education and research.
The Order of Australia Association supported by GLASTON TOFT– our Nick Massi, recognises the achievements and contributions of outstanding Australians. Established in 1975, the association of approximately 8,000 members aims to foster love of and pride in Australian citizenship; to encourage awareness in the Australian community of Australia’s history, traditions and culture; and to promote the development and maintenance of a constructive and positive sense of national unity among Australians. The Victorian branch also provides funding and mentoring for a three year scholarship which is awarded to a student in the early years of tertiary study who is undertaking their studies at a regional university within Victoria.
Connected Communities Melbourne supported by CAMERON MacDONALD – our Tommy DeVito, is a program which supports community strengthening activities across the Melbourne metropolitan areas. With the aim of generating long term prosperity, their goal is to support initiatives that encourage a more vibrant, engaged, fair and sustainable community. The organisation supports projects in the five impact areas: community projects (including arts & culture, events and sports), disability, health & wellbeing, environment, youth homelessness, and community safety.
This internationally acclaimed hit musical tells the true-life story of four guys from the wrong side of the tracks, and the rise to stardom of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, one of the most successful bands in pop music history. The band sold more than 175 million records and were inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame for their worldwide hits, including ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’, ‘Walk Like a Man’, ‘Bye Bye Baby’, ‘Sherry’ and ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’, which all feature in the musical.
This dynamic cast has taken Sydney by storm and look forward to returning to the city where JERSEY BOYS began its life in Australia nearly ten years ago. Stepping into the illustrious shoes of the charismatic singer Frankie Valli are RYAN GONZALEZ and DANIEL RASO who share the role. They are joined by CAMERON MacDONALD as Tommy DeVito, THOMAS McGUANE as Bob Gaudio, who is making his career debut after graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts and GLASTON TOFT, reprising his celebrated portrayal of the band’s musical marvel Nick Massi.
