Proud local Bev and her obedient housemate Roy want to show you ‘round Brunswick. Bring your bum bag, a ham sandwich and discover the sights, sounds and screams of Melbourne’s iconic suburb.

Part character comedy, part immersive theatre adventure, Brunswick with Bev Beastly is a collaboration between The Travelling Sisters’ Laura Trenerry & Ell Sachs and PO PO MO CO’s Lily Fish.

Meeting at a secret location in Brunswick, Bev & Roy take you on a rollicking ride of their beloved suburb. Expect to discover fascinating truths, hilarious lies; to participate in team challenges, play games, slip into alleyways for a yarn and experience Melbourne like never before.

Proudly supported by the Moreland City Council, there are two shows – one aimed at families earlier in the day, and one kicking off at 6pm for adults only. After living in too-close quarters recently, Bev & Roy are wanting to reconnect with their community and make new friends. For the adult show, this means finishing up at an iconic Brunswick pub where audiences can sink some bevs with Bev & Roy.

Brunswick with Bev Beastly is created and performed by Laura Trenerry and Lily Fish and devised with Ell Sachs. Trenerry & Sachs are best known as two thirds of award-winning comedy trio The Travelling Sisters. Sachs and Fish together are part of the Brunswick East Entertainment Festival and The Wholesome Hour (recent winners of Best Design, Independent Theatre, Green Room Awards 2021). Fish is part of award-winning, physically based queer comedy troupe PO PO MO CO & is also known for her solo shows, Jofus & The Plank and Jofus & The Whale, which won Best Physical Theatre (Fringe at the Edge 2020). The Travelling Sisters have travelled the world with their sketch and theatre shows, winning Best Comedy & the NZ Tour Ready Award (Melbourne Fringe 2017). Their recent web series Meet the Mullets won Best International Web Series (Dublin International Film Festival 2021). They were nominated for Best Comedy ( Melbourne Fringe 2019) and Best Ensemble ( New Zealand Fringe 2019). PO PO MO CO won Best Ensemble  (New Zealand Fringe 2020), the NZ Tour Ready Award (Melbourne Fringe 2019) and New Original Circus (Melbourne Fringe 2017).
