Hello Theatre People!

This is Tina Del Twist writing. I hope you're having a wonderful day. I know I am. I'm doing a sound check for my concert tonight at the Melbourne Cabaret Festival in South Melbourne.

We were meant to open at the Vodafone Arena but unfortunately it was already booked. Can you believe it? The band sounds fabulous though. We have Paul Williams on bass (of Australian Crawl fame) and my mislayed son Kein Jenkin on drums. I only found out last year I had a son. It's so wonderful he can join our traveling band. I have no idea who the father is so if you were somewhere in the vacinity of Morocco in 79 please don't hesitate to get in touch. And of course we have the wonderful Twist on guitar. Come enjoy the show if you're available,  or not! I mean the show will happen whether you're there or not so you can drop the ego. Bless you all and see you during Melbourne Cabaret Festival.

Love Tina xxx

Truly unique, Tina is known for her ‘beautiful voice and wicked sense of comic timing’ – The Age. Hot on her heels from exciting audiences worldwide, Melbourne’s much loved nightingale returns with the premiere of her brand spanking new concert.

Like any diva that has been around the traps, Tina is a beautiful jazz / blues singer but beyond this are her funny, eccentric, debauched, higher status, glamorous, daring and extraordinary tales of her career.

Written and performed by Wes Snelling and Stephen Weir.

Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 July, both shows at 9.15pm
$35 / $32
60 minutes approx
The Liber Room, next to the South Melbourne library (opposite Town Hall)
