The announcement came this morning that GREASE will be returning to Australian stages this year, with auditions to commence shortly.

John Frost and West End guru, David Ian, yesterday announced that and Australian tour based on the Broadway and West end revival of the musical, will be staged in Australia later this year.

Auditions are to begin soon, with dates and cities to be announce imminently.

Frost said "I'm constantly asked when I'll be producing GREASE again – it's possibly the most requested musical in the back catalogue of the Gordon Frost Organisation. When the TV series Glee celebrated the music of GREASE on one of their recent episodes, and Olivia Newton John and John Travolta reunited for a charity Christmas album in December, I knew the time was right to bring GREASE back to Australia."

Frost has twice presented GREASE in Australia – in 1998 and 2005. This new production will see the musical return from in-the-round arenas, back to theatres.
