Humdrum Comedy and Left Bauer Productions announced today that the stage musical adaptation of Sherwood Schwartz’s hit television show Gilligan’s Island will be coming to Australia in 2018. The musical is set to open in Melbourne in February for a strictly limited season.
A Co-Production between television production house Humdrum Comedy (We are Darren and Riley, Hitstroke FM) and theatre company Left Bauer Productions (Harvey Milk – the Opera, Master Class); the zany musical will play at Chapel Off Chapel, February 15 – March 4, 2018.
Gilligan’s Island: The Musical features a book by original series creator Sherwood Schwartz and Lloyd J Schwartz, and original music penned by Hope Juber and Laurence Juber (guitarist for Paul McCartney and Wings).
Casting details yet to be confirmed.
