Director Danny Boyle made headlines last year when it was announced that he would be directing the stage adaptation of Frankenstein at the Royal National Theatre in London.
It has been announced today that the critically-acclaimed stage version of Frankenstein, starring Benedict “Sherlock Holmes” Cumberbatch and Johnny Lee “The other Sherlock Holmes” Miller in alternating roles as Frankenstein and the Monster, will be shown in cinemas.
Two recorded versions of the production will be shown, with Cumberbatch as the monster on one night, and Miller playing the creature on the other.
With the production over and the actors now starring in competing TV versions of the Sherlock Holmes stories, these recorded versions is as close as anyone will get to see their Olivier Award-winning performances.
