The concept of BAM (Bored Artists of Melbourne) was devised by Fourth Wall Theatre Company to feed their arts-starved souls, bring people together and entertain audiences who were struggling with the stage four Melbourne lockdown. Having launched their company in February 2020, and pressing pause on their two intended shows, BAM allowed artists and audiences to connect online via Zoom, viewing up to a dozen self-written and classic mini monologue or duo pieces at each event. A Q&A conversation session was held after each program in the ‘virtual foyer’. Originally planned as a one-off show, great enthusiasm saw BAM grow to a total of 6 shows, hosting 58 acts performed by 33 artists to just over 100 audience participants.

Thinking outside the box, Fourth Wall Theatre Company are proud and excited to now bring BAM to LIFE in a Covid-safe setting at the fabulous outdoor venue of Princes Park Bowls Club Beer Garden. Surrounded by parklands, with an open-air bar and picnic table style seating this creates the perfect setting to relax with a drink and celebrate the high quality talents of these Melbourne artists.

The program consists of 13 five minute acts chosen from our six successful online BAM events showcasing both self-written and classic comic and dramatic pieces. A smorgasbord of tempting theatrical nibbles!
