Drama With A Difference is one of Australia’s leading, independent drama schools. With a history that spans more than twenty years, it is the launching pad of many successful Australian actors. Many of these actors began with the school as teenagers, and we were able to assist them in obtaining their first professional roles in Film. TV and Theatre. Our students have played major roles and guest roles in substantially well-known movies, television series and theatre productions. Our school is made up of industry professionals, and we have a solid reputation with the entertainment industry when it comes to recommending teenagers for roles.
Our classes are therefore ideal for aspiring young actors, however they are equally ideal for teenagers who don’t wish to be actors, but are simply interested in attending drama classes for recreational reasons. Drama is a great way to boost confidence and self-esteem, overcome shyness, make new like-minded friends, and simply have fun! Our classes are taught in an encouraging and non-competitive environment, and are open to teenagers with and without experience.
Teenagers will learn improvisation, character work, movement for actors, and work on a series of scripts. Many of the scripts also have input from the students themselves.
Classes resume at the end of January, 2017. There is a Monday night class at Clifton Hill, from 5.30pm – 7.30pm and a Thursday night class from Kew from 5.15pm – 7.15pm.
