September 15, 2016 – October 15, 2016 all-day
STARTING IN EARLY OCTOBER (late comers may obtain a place, pending availability)
Drama With A Difference” is one of Australia’s leading, independent drama schools and is the launching pad of many successful Australian actors. Our teenage acting classes are suitable for aspiring actors as well as young people who would like to use drama for recreational purposes. Drama is a great tool for building self-confidence and self-esteem, and a great way to make new friends and be around like-minded people. If you are a young person who is interested in taking acting seriously, we can help point you in the direction of ethical agents and casting consultants. Many of our teenagers have taken part in guest roles and major roles in film and TV over the years. However, we don’t make any promises regarding professional work, and this should not be your major reason for joining a class. There is a lot of luck involved in obtaining professional acting work, and no one can predict how or when this might occur. The motivation for joining the class should be to get greater skills in acting, which is what we can offer to you. We are a group of industry professionals who have been doing this for a long time, and we can impart our skills to all young people, regardless of their reasons for joining our drama classes. This term (Term 4) we are doing an end of year show which will consist of a whole lot of short scenes rolled into one show. This will be performed at an intimate theatre, under professional lighting and with professional sound. We run teenage classes in Clifton Hill on Mondays from 5.30pm – 7.30pm and Thursdays in Kew from 5.15 – 7.15pm For further information go to this link, and be sure to visit the rest of the website too!
