Blackrock is an Australian beachside working-class suburb where the youth surf by day and rave by night. Desperate to impress, Toby hosts a party at the local surf for his 18th birthday. It is unsupervised with alcohol flowing freely.
The following morning, it is revealed that 15-year-old Tracy Warner was killed at the party. As details of her death emerge the boys responsible band together in ‘Mateship’, and the town falls into damage control now suddenly under the judgemental eye of the rest of Australia.

Exploring issues of Toxic Masculinity, Victim Blaming and Rape Culture, Director Nicola Bowman cares strongly about bringing the female voices of this story to the forefront.

EbbFlow Theatre Co. Present this Classic Australian Play by Nick Enright at a pivotal time in the Australian climate, where stories like this are more present than ever. Featuring a cast of emerging Melbourne artists including Karl Richmond, Joanna Halliday and Helpmann Nominee Luisa Scrofani.
