Paid Theatre Opportunity for Young Actors – Brainstorm Productions
The Company – Brainstorm is one of Australia’s largest and most respected touring theatre companies performing plays in schools across Australia to 350,000 students each year.
The Job – Brainstorm has 8 teams of actors performing 1 hr plays in schools every weekday on 7 – 9 month contracts. Each team consists of 2 actors performing 2 different shows. About half of the tour is usually in your home city with some touring to other cities and regional areas.
We provide – All transport, weekly Grade 1 equity rate of $1083.10, living away from home allowance of $993.79 per week, superannuation, holidays and sick pay. A fun, creative, supportive, professional work environment. Three weeks of rehearsal on the North Coast of NSW.
- MUST BE AT LEAST 19 YEARS OLD
- Playing range of 16-24
- CURRENT DRIVERS licence and good driving record (Learners licence NOT sufficient)
- Fit, healthy and able to travel away from home
- Energetic and responsible
- Some singing, physical theatre, dance or acro is an advantage
