Our thoughts are with you all during this very challenging time and we hope that you and your loved ones are well. We have been greatly appreciative of your support over the years, and want to let you know how we are adjusting our plans in response to these strange and disconcerting events.
We are currently reviewing our schedule in response to COVID-19 health concerns and the implications for the broader community.
It is with great regret that we have decided to suspend our world premiere season of Single Ladies by Michele Lee until further notice.
It is especially heartbreaking to have to suspend a wonderful new Australian play, with the years of work that have been put into its development through our INK program.
Our venue capacity is less than 100 people, which is the currently mandated limit for non-essential gatherings. However, the safety of our community is our priority, and following advice from Federal and State governments regarding preventative social distancing and taking steps to ‘flatten the curve’, we have decided this is the most responsible course of action. We are also supporting our staff to work from home.
Ticket sales and philanthropic support make up the vast majority of our company’s income, and we are deeply grateful to those of you who have opted to donate the price of your ticket to the company. Such goodwill and generosity have an even greater impact in times like these.
That being said, we understand that not everyone is in a position to donate. If you require a credit for a future Red Stitch production or a refund, please be patient as our small staff processes your request.
