After the glorious success of the first two episodes of Choose Your Own Variety with Ali McGregor audiences can now buckle in for two more with the cabaret queen and a slew of new guests.

On Friday 2 October and Friday 9 October at 7:30pm the fun-loving, adventure-filled variety show will feature more comedians, more daring cabaret artists and some sexy burlesque. Artists include Claire Hooper, Dilruk Jayasinha, David Quirk, Nath Valvo, Zelia Rose, Parvyn, Tina del Twiste, Jessie Lloyd, Jude Perl and Tanzer.

In the third episode,  comedian Claire Hooper shows audiences what she’s been learning at ‘home school’; stand-up comedian and actor David Quirk shares a short story of a date gone wrong and gives insight into his mad skating skillz; burlesque royalty Zelia Rose shares the debut of her super slick space adventure filmed just before lockdown; The Bombay Royale singer Parvyn debuts her new single – a delicious trad-electro hybrid – and will give a glimpse into her verandah Kathak dancing, then cabaret star Jude Perl sings of the joys of share houses and Violet Crumbles.

For the fourth episode, comedian Dilruk Jayasinha shares his experience of leaving the glitzy world of accounting behind for the now ‘in limbo’ comedy circuit; the velvet laden, gin-soaked cabaret chanteuse, Tina del Twiste,  sings of forgetting until you remember; stand-up comedian Nath Valvo explains some of the benefits of lockdown, including some tricks he’s been teaching his dog; Aboriginal and Torres Strait lslander musician Jessie Lloyd shares some beautiful traditional Mission Songs, then the fierce and fabulous, smoky-eyed singer Tanzer delights audiences with a seductive tango.

Families also have the chance to revisit a special school holiday edition of Choose Your Own Variety with Ali McGregor. Available to stream on demand until Tuesday 6 October, in this special episode for kids and families Frank Woodley brings some of his glorious lunacy; comedy duo The Listies create silly mayhem; Clara Cupcakes gets grossed out by balloon animals; Dane Simpson weaves tales about animals with his didgeridoo; Dandyman clowns around with straws and, up-and-coming comedians Ethan Gallagher and Patti Fawcett – from Arts Centre Melbourne’s LOL Squad program – make their debut.

Each episode of Choose Your Own Variety with Ali McGregor will be available to stream on demand for two weeks.
