Where were you when the Southern Cross All Stars won the first Cranston Cup?
When The Lonely Guys wore the suits that shocked the world and Julia Zemiro cut her impro teeth?
When Adam Spencer found mates to share his magnificent mind, Qantas Baggage Handlers
was more than a news headline and Rear End Collision was an improvised insurance claim?

Celebrate 30 years of comedy at the improvised party of the year, with Australia’s best and funniest Theatresports® stars both past and present.

Everybody gets their 15 minutes of Impro Comedy fame when Celebrity Theatresports® explodes onto the Enmore Theatre stage on Saturday night 15 August.

You’ll see all your favourite teams and players from over 30 years of Theatresports® shows,
many of whom have gone on to become household names: Julia Zemiro, Adam Spencer, Steen Raskopoulos, Jay Laga’aia – and more – all on stage for one big night of laugh-out-loud Theatresports comedy!

If you’ve never seen Theatresports® before then you really don’t know what it’s like to be scared scriptless!  It’s on-the-spot, ad-lib comedy, performed at the highest level of skill and miraculous comedy timing. In a series of hilarious games, challenges and comedy skits, teams compete for laughs and the judge’s scores. It’s terrifying, it’s brilliant and – after 30 years – it’s even more popular than ever.

Judges include the founding producer of Theatresports® Dennis Watkins, who went on to become commissioning editor at the ABC and Opera Australia impressario! Joining him is the original Theatresports ‘Mr. Music’, Chris Harriott, who later wrote the Bananas in Pyjamas theme song and became the composer behind High Five!

With hosts Marko Mustac and Monique Dykstra, improvising musician Benny Davis (Axis of Awesome),
Barbara Williams on lights and directed by the doyen of Theatresports in Australia (and beyond) Lyn Pierse.

MEDIUM Adam Spencer & Piglet

Since 1985 Theatresports® has supported a wide range of charities from Amnesty International to the Starlight Children’s Foundation. This year they are proud to be fundraising for CanTeen: supporting young people living with cancer.

So take an improvised trip down memory lane and have a hilarious head-on collision with the crazy, impro-comedy present. Celebrate 30 years of laughter, teamwork, entertainment, community and charity support. Come and join the party!
