Becky Lou bares all in critically acclaimed burlesque theatre production, Shake.

 Shake

After a critically acclaimed debut season at Perth Fringe World and Adelaide Fringe 2015, Becky Lou brings her exquisite solo show, Shake, to her hometown of Melbourne for a one-week season.

Shake combines Becky Lou’s unique brand of burlesque, sumptuous striptease and irreverent physical comedy with stories from her life as a woman who has been seen and not heard. Becky Lou has made a career out of dancing gleefully and naked across the globe, however in Shake she is facing her greatest fear: sharing her stories and her voice.

Directed by Australian cabaret powerhouse Wes Snelling, Shake’s debut seasons in Perth and Adelaide garnered a relentless onslaught of four and five star reviews and a nomination for Best Cabaret at Perth Fringe World.

Becky Lou, a much-loved mover and shaker in the Australian burlesque scene, is fast gaining a reputation as an innovative fringe cabaret artist and storyteller. A resident at Fitzroy’s Burlesque Bar until its closure in 2013, she became one of the most in demand performers at the height of the burlesque revival, touring throughout Australia and the USA. In addition to being the winner of the Miss Burlesque Victoria title, she was included in UK’s 21st Century Burlesque Magazine’s list of Top 10 Australian Burlesque Personalities.

Shake opens on Wednesday, the 8th of July and runs for 5 nights. Bookings recommended.
