Mary Anne Butler is the playwright behind Broken

Broken is a haunting story of resilience and hope that taps straight into the heart of the Australian landscape. The play begins with a near fatal car crash on an isolated road in the Central Desert. Ash is trapped in her car and is rescued by a stranger and in that moment of life and death a bond is formed and worlds collide. Stunning in its lyricism and truths about life and love, Broken is provocative storytelling at its best.

Directed by leading director Shannon Murphy and featuring performers Ivan Donato, Sarah Enright and Rarriwuy Hick.
