Windmill Theatre Company have added multiple Guild winner John Azzopardi to their production team.  With over 15 years experience under his belt, Azzopardi has earned himself a reputation as one of Australia’s top theatrical costume designers.  John has a swag of credits to his name including The Scarlett Pimpernel, (CLOC), Beauty and The Beast (Whitehorse) and Les Miserables (Whitehorse).

In 2006 Azzopardi created history by winning the Guild for Best Wardrobe in two separate shows – the first time a person has won a joint award in the one category in the same year.

Director Chris Hughes said “We are honored to have John on board for Phantom.  The ornate, period style of the show is perfectly suited to John’s experience and I know he’ll bring a perfect balance of style and creativity to the team.”

Azzopardi currently works as a professional costume designer in the UK via his own company Horatio Jones and will be working remotely with the assistance of local costumers to help complete his vision.

"I'm excited to be working with Chris Hughes and his team on such a wonderful show. Thanks to the magic of t'internet it's like I never left home." – Azzopardi

Windmill's Phantom Of The Opera will open in June/July 2013 at the Drum Theatre in Dandenong and are holding auditions on the 19th, 21st and 23rd of October – For more information CLICK HERE
