The Puppet Box invites you to come along with Avery the Owl on his newest adventure into the kooky world of Mr Foggles and his enchanted Exotic Bird Emporium.

In a faraway magical land Avery the Owl finds himself banished from his home, after a long and exhausting journey Avery is locked away in an old dusty Emporium. Here he meets Mr Fagin Foggles who is in the throes of creating a magical flying coat. The two struggle to become friends, but through music and mischief the pair come to an agreement, not only to be friends but start an amazing adventure working together in the Exotic Bird Emporium.

After captivating adult audiences earlier in 2015, Avery the Owl is ready to take on his own magical children’s production. This October, Avery & Mr. Foggles will take you on a journey into the enchanted world of the Exotic Bird Emporium.

Based on the hit children’s picture story book and original production The Magical Oak Tree which played to sell out audiences during the 2011 Melbourne Fringe Festival, Avery’s new adventure takes The Puppet Box to the next level.

Over 2 Years in the making, Avery and the Exotic Bird Emporium features a unique and automated puppet of the incredibly wise old owl, Avery.

Avery has been designed and constructed by Axtell Expressions and is voiced by prominent Melbourne comedy performer Michael Dalton.

Mr. Foggles is the shopkeeper at the Exotic Bird Emporium and has been designed and constructed by Melbourne based Deiter Barry Creations with voice and puppeteering by Joseph Bootten.
