After graduating with distinction from the Victoria College of the Arts with a BA (Mus) in Solo Performance – Voice, Pip performed with most of the major opera companies and orchestras in Australia. She toured the country for several years in musical theatre, after which she moved to Europe, became a member of the Vienna State Opera, as well as performing regularly at the Salzburg Festival, the Vienna Festival and as a guest artist with many other European organisations. Pip later refocused her musical activities to concentrate on the training and coaching of professional singers, almost exclusively in the areas of musical theatre and popular music, specialising in post-operative and post-trauma vocal rehabilitation. She has held lectureships in several tertiary institutions in both Germany and Austria, guest lectured at schools and universities throughout Europe and Australia, and continues to act as vocal advisor and consultant to various performers, theatres, choirs and educational institutions. An appointment in 2008 by Seelive Tivoli, Germany, to the position of Music Supervisor and departmental head saw Pip further develop her work in arts administration and management. She returned to Australia late in 2010 and is currently General Manager of Stonnington Symphony, teaches Vocal Health in the “Showfit” program at Centrestage Performing Arts Studios, Brunswick, and has a busy private studio specialising in vocal health and technique.
