The Clocktower Theatre season returns in 2019 with an exciting line-up of drama, music and even something a little different that everyone can enjoy!

Theatre Buffs are in for a treat when the when the Clocktower stages the highly anticipated Australian musical-drama The Sapphires, inspired by the true story of four young Aboriginal Women and Sunset Strip, an Australian dramatic comedy about love, family dysfunction and making the best of lousy situations by multi-award winning playwright, Suzie Miller.

Music lovers will be singing along to The Voice’s Naomi Price when she performs some of the Beatles’ most monumental hits in Lady Beatle and Sun Rising who will bring a vibrant show about the birth of rock & roll. Alinta Chidzey returns to the Clocktower, bringing along with her Hook Turn Orchestra to perform iconic songs from classic movies in Jazz and the Silver Screen and the ever-impressive and captivating sounds of the Soweto Gospel Choir and Melbourne Chamber Orchestra is sure to light up the theatre.

For those craving something a little different in the New Year, By a Thread will feature a performance of stunning contemporary circus works by seven acrobats and 30 metres of rope.

The Clocktower Theatre Season is never complete without the fun and exciting line-up for children and 2019 is no different with the much-loved performances of The Gruffalo and Possum Magic.
