One of Broadway’s most successful musical of all time, A Chorus Line is showing it’s well noted box office strength in Melbourne.

The limited season commencing 4 February 2012 at Her Majesty’s Theatre is today releasing their final seats, 2 months earlier than planned.

‘We had planned to release our final shows just before we opened, but the response and demand for tickets has been overwhelming with $2million of advance sales for the first 3 weeks alone’ said Producer, Tim Lawson

‘I knew when I saw the Broadway revival recently that the time was right for A Chorus Line to return to Australia to be seen by a new generation. We all have a new found understanding of aspiring performers since the advent of shows such as Australia’s Got Talent and X Factor. A Chorus Line offers an intriguing insight into the lives of Broadway dancers through captivating song, riveting drama and stunning choreography.’

Based on true stories, A Chorus Line revolutionised Broadway for 15 years becoming the longest running musical in Broadway history. The show won 9 Tony Awards®, including ‘Best Musical’, 7 Drama Desk Awards, the New York Critics Circle Award and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

And now this dazzling new Broadway Production comes to Her Majesty’s Theatre, Melbourne for 35 performances only from 4 February 2012 boasting a truly sensational cast headed by Dancing With The Stars’ Josh Horner.

As the New York Observer said, ‘The chance to see Michael Bennett’s masterpiece again or for the first time, should not be missed.’
