St Kilda Festival returns on Sunday 9 February 2020 celebrating its 40th anniversary with a fun-filled day of entertainment, presented by the City of Port Phillip. Set on the stunning St Kilda foreshore, the annual festival is a celebration of summer, regularly attracting more than 400,000 visitors to the free event.

The full program for Australia’s largest free music festival will be announced in January 2020 and will again showcase some of the nation’s best musicians over multiple stages.

The New Music Stage Competition will return, seeing ten emerging acts compete for a $5000 prize and invitation to play on the Main Stage at the 2021 Festival.

While music lovers will feel right at home, families can enjoy a great day out with workshops, face painting, carnival rides, markets and food stalls.

Local hotspots Fitzroy and Acland Streets will join in the celebrations, with restaurants, cafes and bars hosting special events and offers. Over 100 food trucks will be situated across the festival to feed the masses.

St Kilda Festival is Australia’s largest free music festival held on the second Sunday in February each year. The diverse program features live Australian music, dance performances and workshops, carnival rides, sports demonstrations, community group activities, food and market stalls, extended business trading, roving entertainment and a dedicated family-friendly entertainment zone with a stage and kid’s carnival.
